Welcome to Alianza, Jessica & Angélica!
We are thrilled to welcome two incredible new team members to Alianza Coachella Valley! Jessica Dominguez and Angélica Bustos are joining us as Campaign Organizers, bringing their passion, lived experience, and deep commitment to community power to support our work in environmental justice, education justice, and our Youth Organizing Council (YO-C).
Jessica Dominguez — Campaign Organizer
Jessica joined Alianza in 2026 after graduating from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Law and Society. Her academic path was matched by meaningful action. During her undergraduate years, she worked to mobilize students across California toward equity-driven policy reform, fighting to expand access and opportunity for underserved communities through multiple extracurricular programs.
Jessica’s dedication to building people power and centering the voices of those most impacted by systemic inequity makes her a natural fit for the work we do every day at Alianza. We’re so glad she’s here.
Outside of organizing, Jessica loves spending time at the beach, hanging out with friends, and enjoying life with her puppy, Loki. 🐾
Angélica Bustos — Campaign Organizer
Angélica joined Alianza Coachella Valley in 2026, bringing with her over six years of experience in advocacy and community empowerment. She holds an Associate of Liberal Studies from Irvine Valley College and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside, a foundation that has shaped her sharp understanding of the systems affecting our communities.
Angélica is deeply committed to building strong relationships, developing local leadership, and uplifting community voices to drive meaningful change. She is passionate about fostering inclusive spaces where residents feel empowered to become advocates for their own communities, values that align beautifully with Alianza’s mission.
When she’s not organizing, Angélica enjoys studying fashion, discovering new coffee shops, exploring nature, and spending quality time with her family, boyfriend, and pet bunny. 🐇
