
SAHARA DANIELA HUAZANO
Director of Programs
Sahara Daniela Huazano, a resident of Indio but raised in Mecca, is a graduate of Desert Mirage High School with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is passionate about using her skills to solve issues in her community and saw the opportunity to do just that at Alianza. Sahara has a deep appreciation for the opportunity to work with diverse people from different walks of life who are passionate and talented.
Before Sahara joined the Alianza team, she worked as a project coordinator for Building Healthy Communities Coachella Valley. She was also a Women’s Policy State fellow, The Water Solution fellow, a congressional intern, a Sierra Club intern, and a Pueblo Unido intern. Sahara is married with one child. Her hobbies include being in nature, off-roading, camping, and gardening.
